dernière production d'Albert Pyun. DTV au petit budget (1.5 m de $) avec son habituel Norbert Weisser (dans le role de Deltoid, meme que son role dans le Trésor de San Lucas), Crystal Green et Morgan Weisser.

 

Le tout d'après la nouvelle de H.P Lovecraft.

 

Un jeune scénariste au bout du rouleau trouve une chambre à louer dans une maison éloignée dans Malibu. Travaillant sans relache, il estvictime d'un arret cardiaque, et se fait naturellement soigner par le médecin au-dessous duquel il vit désormais. La jeune femme possède une beauté préservée, mais au prix de sa vie. Le jeune homme se relève en parfait état mais se demande ce qui lui a été injecté... car le médecin effectue des expériences plutôt spéciales.

 

Albert Pyun says:

 

"I've tried to capture the feeling of dread and madness so the viewer truly experiences a waking nightmare--for me the essence of what I loved about Lovecraft's story and his words. It's a very unconventional film that plays with time and space in ways only digital technology allows..."

" “We're editing that now,” he says. “I’ve found a brilliant editor named Glen Berry, who is doing remarkable work for his first feature. He has a very talented post crew [Michael Kutcher, Jordan Montreuil, David Albright], who have had to deal with some weird technical specs I wanted COOL AIR to have. Lars Simkin, the visual effects supervisor, is creating some startling time-and-space-bending shots sure to disorient the viewer. They are really making the picture exceptional, beyond a mere horror film.”
